A spring session for yoga practice will be held at Mount Nebo United Methodist Church Activities Center beginning Sunday and running through May 22, with the exception of Easter Sunday. Class time is 6 to 7 p.m. Nancy Poole, a registered yoga teacher, will lead the class, which is suitable for beginners. The six-session class costs $42, which is payable at registration. WASHINGTON COUNTY -- Candice Valencia has converted skeptics to believers. As she guides the seniors in her Wednesday chair yoga class through the positions of sunflowers, down dog and warrior I, a calm overtakes the group. "Please listen to your body," Valencia advises members of the group. Valencia, 43, teaches two yoga classes and two strength-training classes each week at the Washington County Senior Center at Girls Inc. She also teaches exercise classes at the Frederick County (Md.)
