A Winchester, Va., woman died Friday after the vehicle she was a passenger in struck a house in Peters Township, Pa., according to a news release from Franklin County Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner. Catherine Foy, 51, was pronounced dead at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital, Conner said. Pennsylvania State Police identified the driver as David Eugene Foy, 48, also of Winchester. The accident happened Friday at 4:30 p.m. Foy was a passenger in a westbound Subaru Outback on Buchanan Trail West.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Berkeley County man was flown to Winchester (Va.) Medical Center Tuesday after the 1986 Ford Thunderbird he was driving struck a large tree off Hampshire Grade Road near the Back Creek Valley community of Shanghai, W.Va., police said. Berkeley County Sheriff's Department deputy T.D. Heckman identified the driver as Jeffrey R. Ramey, 45, of Falling Waters, W.Va. Ramey's medical condition was not immediately known. Heckman said no vehicle registration information was in the vehicle when he arrived at the accident scene, which was off the left side of Hampshire Grade Road about one-tenth of mile from Parsons Road.

Joseph E. Ghusn, 73, of Berryville, Va., died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church,  Charles Town, W.Va. The Rev. John Ledford will officiate. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.
