Previously, in the "Twilight" series ... Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), a human, married Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), the vampire love of her life. The marriage went through despite objections from Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), Bella's spurned werewolf admirer. After a very scary pregnancy, Bella had a half-vampire baby. Edward and Jacob both showed dedication to Bella and the baby, eventually deciding to call a truce in the centuries-long feud between vampires and werewolves.

Since 2008, the "Twilight" movies have been one of my favorite annual traditions. Not because of the movies themselves, which are drippy romances with endless lovelorn dialogue, but because of the reactions of the audiences that accompany the films. The camera's obsession with the actors' looks is painful. Hundreds of girls' obsession with the actors' looks is hilarious. There is no sound in the world quite like a sold-out auditorium squealing over the sight of Robert Pattinson's face or Taylor Lautner's abs. The storylines and dialogue are downright laughable, but it's such a genuine laughter that it turns out to be a positive reaction.

Anyone who is a member of Team Edward, Team Jacob or Team Jasper is probably eagerly awaiting the release of "New Moon" (especially you, Team Jacob fans), the latest theatrical installment in the "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer. While you are waiting, instead of rereading the series for the -nth time, why not explore some other vampire books, both the classics and more modern tales involving the famous fanged creatures. My favorite vampire books are "House of Night" by P.C. and Kristin Cast.

This year, it seems teens can't get enough of a story about a vampire, a teenage girl and their impossible, yet unfailing, love. Stephenie Meyer's novel series started with the release of "Twilight" in 2006. Readers faithfully followed the story of Bella and her vampire soul mate Edward with the rest of the series, "New Blood," "Eclipse" and this year's "Breaking Dawn. " On Friday, Bella and Edward's story jumps from book to screen as the first film made from the series, "Twilight," is released in theaters.

Since the 2005 release of Stephenie Meyer's novel, "Twilight," fans have always dreamed of what the main characters Edward and Bella would really look and sound like beyond the book. Now Summit Entertainment brings "Twilight" to life in a romantic movie coming to theaters on Friday, Nov. 21. "Twilight" was to originally premiere on Friday, Dec. 12, but with the film release date of "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" being pushed back from Nov. 21 to July 17, 2009, "Twilight" was moved up. According to a Summit Entertainment press release, the date move "allows the studio to both bring the film to the written-series' enormous fan base sooner, and to present the film in more theatres prior to the holiday movie-going season where traditionally screen time for any popular film is limited.

HAGERSTOWN - Caylee Davis said it didn't take very long for her to get dressed to attend Friday night's release party for author Stephenie Meyer's new book, "Breaking Dawn," at Borders at the Centre at Hagerstown. "Breaking Dawn" is the fourth and final book in Meyer's vampire series that also includes "Twilight," "New Moon" and "Eclipse. " Caylee, 14, of Martinsburg, W.Va., said she always wears dark clothes as part of her gothic look. The only thing she really had to add to get ready for Friday night was a pair of vampire fangs.

Summit Entertainment has taken the role of turning the best-selling teen novel "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer into a movie. "Twilight" is the suspenseful story of a girl and a vampire who fall in love. The book will be a great hit as a movie. At least, it should be. The book has been hugely popular among teen readers, with two sequels - "New Moon" and "Eclipse. " "Twilight" is about Isabella Swan, a teenager who moves to rainy, small-town Forks, Wash., from sunny, big-city Arizona to live with her dad. Bella meets an astonishing boy named Edward, and they fall in love.
