GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Three members of the same family, including an unborn child, were killed Saturday afternoon when a Waynesboro, Pa., woman and her pregnant daughter died in a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Pa. 16 and Long Lane in Antrim Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. [cont. from front page ] Crystal Diane Helman, 36, and Stephanie Helman, 19, both of 12178 Olde Route 16, were pronounced dead at the scene at 3:49 p.m. by Franklin County Coroner Kenneth L. Peiffer.

Letters to the editor You can't deny life to the unborn To the editor: Jan. 22, 1997 marks the 24th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade or more appropriately the Supreme Court decision to legalize abortion. No matter to whom you talk of the pro-choice ilk, regarding the abortion issue; the factor of when life begins is always at the forefront. "Blob of tissue" and fetus are terms used to identify the child inside the mother. Let us set aside the "blob of tissue" and look closely at the term fetus.
