MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Berkeley County church is looking to Broadway to help raise money for the crisis in Kosovo. Trinity Lutheran Church on W.Va 45 in Arden will host show tunes with Trivial Pursuit at 7 p.m. Saturday in a fund-raiser for Doctors Without Borders, Donna Giguet said. Ellen McDaniel-Weissler, of Hedgesville, W.Va., created "Trivial Broadway" about six years ago as a useful outlet for "all the useless trivia I had mushed inside my head. " An opera student who has studied at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, McDaniel said she has performed the show around the nation.

Linda Lou Fiery, 56, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, in Pulaski, Tenn., of complications from scleroderma. Born July 15, 1955, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of the late Glenn Edward Fiery and Ida Lucille (Charles) Fiery. She graduated from Williamsport High School in 1973 and from Frostburg State College in 1977. She was a baptized member of Mount Tabor Lutheran Church in Fairview. She was a whiz at questions for games and game shows such as Trivial Pursuit and “Jeopardy.” Her speaking skills and good diction were put to good use when she won contests while doing telemarketing for Sears appliance maintenance contracts.
