School will host open house week Hagerstown Children's School will host an open house week Monday, Feb. 26, to Saturday, March 3. Visitors can observe the Montessori preschool/kindergarten class and toddler and extended day child-care programs in session Monday to Friday, March 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 5 p.m. Information packets and registration materials will be available. Toddler hospitalized after falling into water MARION, Pa. - A toddler who fell into a body of water behind her house Thursday was flown to Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa., but officials said her condition was not life-threatening. Details of what happened were sketchy and the child's name, age and address were not released. Rescue crews responded to a home on Coontown Road in Marion. Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Joe Davidson said the toddler and her 6-year-old sibling were playing in the back yard of their home when the toddler fell into the water.

Certified instructor Karen Humbertson will teach a one-hour body- conditioning class that includes a low-impact cardio workout, body sculpting and stretching. Classes will be Monday and Wednesday evenings at Clear Spring Elementary School's gymasium.

WILLIAMSPORT - New operating hours at the Williamsport Memorial Library branch of Washington County Free Library System will go into effect March 2, according to Susan Schnebly, branch librarian. The new hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dates have changed on a number of upcoming activities. Hooks and Needles meets first Wednesdays, March 4 and April 1 at 6 p.m. for all ages. Bring needlework and supplies, share techniques and ideas and learn from one another.
