He hid his wet clothes and didn't want to talk about it. continued At his checkup, our pediatrician, Dr. M. Douglas Becker, recommended that we chart his progress on a calendar. Every time he woke up dry, he earned a star for that day. My son really looked forward to putting those stickers on the calendar.

Some tips on teaching time management to your kids Teaching your Child | By Lisa Tedrick Prejean Lynn Smith of Hagerstown called recently, requesting tips on teaching time management to her sons, Clayton, 9, and Keifer, 5. Specifically, it's a problem in the morning when they're rushing to catch the bus to Paramount Elementary School. Smith seems organized. She helps her boys pick out clothes at night, and has a weekly chart of responsibilities where they check off completed items such as chores, personal care and manners.

If you get the urge to flip the channel on the Washington County Board of Education's televised meetings, board members said Tuesday they don't blame you. "The perception has gotten into the community that we're not dealing well with our time," said board President Edwin Hayes, who led a discussion on the board's time management. Newly elected board member J. Herbert Hardin said he used to find himself tuning out while watching the meetings on Antietam Cable. "It just got to be a competition between who could make the best presentation," Hardin said.

St. Lawrence Cement Robert K. Baker has been promoted to shift supervisor at St. Lawrence Cement Co. in Hagerstown. Baker began his career with the company nine years ago as a laborer. He was promoted to control room operator in May, 1996. Office Essentials Brian Zook, service manager/instructor for the Maryland-based firm Office Essentials, recently received Ricoh's Ace Award. The award for perfect scores in theory, practical application and diagnostics was presented during a recent training seminar on Ricoh's newest high-speed digital copy systems.
