Brady-Buchman Aaron Michael Buchman of Mechanicsburg, Pa., and Bonnie Jean Brady of Martinsburg, Pa., announce their engagement. Mr. Buchman is the son of the Rev. Randy and Diana Buchman of Williamsport. He is a 2004 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 2008 graduate of Lafayette College in Easton, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He is employed at Dewberry-Goodkind Inc., in Carlisle, Pa. Miss Brady is the daughter of Dr. James and Mrs. Jackie Brady of Martinsburg.

Jones-Thompson Michelle Meade Thompson and Douglas William Jones were married Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at Terra Angelica in Cumberland, Md. The bride is the daughter of Mary G. Thompson and Gary E. Thompson, both of Cumberland. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. William Jones of North Richland Hills, Texas, and formerly of Williamsport. The bride is a 1983 graduate of Allegany High School and a 1988 graduate of Shepherd University. She is employed as a marketing associate with Sysco Food Services of Virginia.

SEPT. 11, 1930-JAN. 3, 2009 MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - James Bernard Hutzler, DDS, 78, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at Levine Dickson Hospice House in Charlotte, N.C. Born Sept. 11, 1930, in Berkeley County, W.Va., he was the son of the late John Strother and Onita Jane Whitacre Hutzler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Lucille A. Stride Hutzler. He graduated from Martinsburg High School. He received his bachelor of science degree from Shepherd College (now university)

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Guest speaker Jerome Dean of the class of 1982 gave some closing advice Saturday to the 2008 graduates of Shippensburg University. "Don't keep your Ship docked," Dean said. "Sail your Ship, class of 2008. " After years of work to complete one journey, the class of 464 undergraduates is preparing for the next, on which they now set sail after receiving their degrees during winter commencement in front of more than 2,000 proud friends and family members at Heiges Field House.

bonnieb@herald-mail.com SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - After earning his degree in psychology from Shippensburg University in 1979, Jeff Lee has worked for several various Fortune 100 companies, including Time Warner and Johnson & Johnson. Lee, of Raleigh, N.C., is senior vice president of PepsiCo and president of Cecil Street Investment Group LLC. But, Lee said, he was "academically challenged" in college, and took full advantage of the social and party life of the school.

Confronted with a college visitation schedule that would set his course for four years following graduation from high school, Obi Enechionyia made his choice where he will continue his academic and basketball affairs. The 6-foot-8 Saint James senior made a verbal commitment to Temple University, choosing the Philadelphia school immediately following his weekend visit rather than wait and make other visits. “I wanted to get the process done,” Enechionyia said. “I enjoyed the campus and it is a city kind of atmosphere.

Paula Ann Dickerhoff and Dennis Eugene Shatzer wish to announce their engagement. Ms. Dickerhoff is the daughter of Paul Dickerhoff of Oxford, Miss., and Patricia Dickerhoff of Williamsport. She is a 1987 graduate of Heritage Academy and a 1991 graduate of Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C. She is employed by Cedar Ridge Ministries as an assistant controller. Mr. Shatzer is the son of Eugene and Katherine Shatzer of St. Thomas, Pa. He is a 1985 graduate of James Buchanan High School and a 1988 graduate of Electronic Institutes in Middletown, Pa. He is employed as a PC project coordinator for Regency Thermographers Inc. in Waynesboro, Pa. A July 8 wedding is planned.
