CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - 4-H participants from across Frankin County recently gathered for the annual 4-H Summer Roundup at the Penn State Extension Office. Forty-two 4-H members and volunteers participated in many activities while projects were being judged. This year, 68 projects were displayed, with many topics covered such as sewing, computers, wood burning, art, gardening and archery. After a taco lunch prepared by the 4-H members, the 2009 4-H Summer Roundup Best of Show winners were announced.

Tuesday - steak and cheese sub, seasoned potato wedges, chilled peaches, cherry turnover and milk. Wednesday - taco with salsa, taco shell, corn, Spanish rice, orange smiles, fruit sherbet and milk. Thursday - turkey sub with lettuce and tomato, vegetable soup with crackers, celery and carrots with dip, banana and milk.
