McCONNELLSBURG, PA. - A Fulton County jury deliberated about 2 1/2 hours Friday before finding Gregory Rouzer guilty of attempted homicide in the February shooting of Randolph Walters. Rouzer, 40, of 1291 Possum Hollow Road in Harrisonville, Pa., was convicted of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and possession of an instrument of crime. He is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 1. Pennsylvania State Police had charged Rouzer with shooting Walters three times with a .22-caliber rifle on the morning of Feb. 7 outside the Sipes Mill Road home that Walters shared with Marian Wertz.

A Hagerstown man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly threatened his estranged wife with a shotgun, Hagerstown Police Department Sgt. Tom Langston said. Douglas Hollar, 37, of 1119 Green Lane, was charged with second-degree assault and false imprisonment, Langston said. The incident started about 9 p.m. when his wife got out of his vehicle in the 700 block of Spruce Street and called for help from a bar on Salem Avenue, Langston said. Hollar was arrested without incident about 9:50 p.m. at his home, Langston said.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses after firing a shotgun at another man Sunday night, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Kenneth Schwab, 44, of 1012 Paper Mill Road, also was charged with recklessly endangering another person and making terroristic threats, police said. Schwab got into an argument about 7 p.m. with William Proctor Jr., 22, of Chambersburg, and left his house, going to his former residence next door, police said.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. -- The Mainstreet Waynesboro Inc. board of directors announced Monday that a Mercersburg, Pa., man will soon step into the nonprofit organization's chief administrative position. Bruce Dreisbach, who has a background in marketing, said his good experiences while studying at Penn State Mont Alto brought him back to southern Franklin County many years later. "I've lived all over the United States and worked all over the world, but my wife will tell you that for 30 years I've been trying to move back to the Cumberland Valley," Dreisbach said.

A Thursday night drug bust in Hagerstown's East End netted three arrests, a large quantity of illegal drugs and a loaded shotgun, police said. At 10:30 p.m., detectives with the Hagerstown Police Department's street crime unit executed a search and seizure warrant at 334 Vista St. near the Hagerstown Fairgrounds Park. According to St. Jim Robison, this was a result of complaints from citizens in the area who noted high foot traffic and suspected drug activity at the residence.

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - A Baltimore man was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the Jan. 23, 2007, robbery at Hollywood Video in Washington Township, Pa., according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice. Jabari Kofi Penn, 29, pleaded guilty to a Hobbs Act robbery, which is one affecting interstate commerce, the news release stated. The Washington Township Police Department worked with the Pennsylvania State Police and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in the investigation.

HAGERSTOWN - A man and his grandson face dozens of criminal charges, including armed robbery and false imprisonment, in an October armed robbery at an M&T Bank on Dual Highway during which 17 people in the bank were threatened with a shotgun. David Wilbert Shanton Sr., 53, of Winchester, Va., faces more than 150 charges, and his grandson, Kevin Andre Shanton, 17, also of Winchester, was charged as an adult with almost 100 criminal charges. During the afternoon of Oct. 22, 2007, two masked males robbed the bank at 930 Dual Highway.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Waynesboro, Pa., man involved in the shotgun holdup of a Washington Township video store earlier this year was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court to two to six years in state prison. John Eric Sicca, 27, of Calimer Drive, pleaded guilty June 27 to criminal conspiracy to commit robbery in the Jan. 23 robbery of Hollywood Video at 12785 Washington Township Blvd. Township police said a man entered the store at 11:55 p.m. armed with a pump-action shotgun, demanded cash from the clerk and then left in a waiting green sedan.
