All six charges against a Hagerstown man charged with having sexual contact with an 11-year-old girl were forwarded to Washington County Circuit Court following a preliminary hearing Tuesday, court records state. Washington County District Judge R. Noel Spence found probable cause on all charges against Herman A. Gundy, also known as "Biggs," 30, whose last known address is 441 N. Potomac St., Apt. 7, records state. Gundy is charged with second- and third-degree sex offense, sodomy, contributing to the condition of a child, second-degree assault and delivery of drug paraphernalia to a minor, according to records.

chambersburg@herald-mail.com A former Fannett-Metal High School teacher will be going to jail after pleading guilty Wednesday in Franklin County Court to charges that he had sexual contact with three female students. William Bradley Palm, 24, formerly of Shippensburg, Pa., pleaded guilty before Judge John R. Walker to three charges of corruption of minors, according to court records. The guilty plea requires him to spend time in jail, surrender his teaching certificate and not seek or obtain employment where he would be working with minors, court documents said.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Fannettsburg, Pa., woman was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court to 58 months to 40 years in state prison for participating in and photographing the sexual molestation of a young girl, court records said. Margaret A. Neil, 41, of 11316 Creek Road was sentenced by Judge Carol Van Horn on a charge of criminal conspiracy to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, according to court records. She was given nearly six months credit for time already served in the county prison.

Boy sent to youth detention center A 14-year-old boy being held at Potomac Ridge Behavioral Health System on a third-degree sex offense charge was ordered placed in a youth detention center Wednesday. Washington County Circuit Judge Donald E. Beachley, sitting in juvenile court, decided two weeks ago that the boy could remain at Potomac Ridge even though it was discovered he had sexual contact with two other youths at the Rockville, Md., facility. Beachley made the decision after hearing that security measures would keep the youth in confinement.

gregs@herald-mail.com A 15-year-old Hagerstown boy who admitted in October to having sexual contact with a 10-year-old girl was not allowed to go home with his parents Wednesday after a juvenile court hearing, in part, the judge said, because he did not think they could provide him with proper supervision. "I think you need to get more education as to what's going on here," Washington County Circuit Judge Donald E. Beachley, sitting in juvenile court, told the boy's parents.

It is the second time someone has been charged with sex offenses involving the girl this year. Police charged Matthew David Mercer, 22, of 140 E. Franklin St., with second-degree rape, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree and third-degree sex offense.

William Charles Johnson, of 3436 Clayhill Road, will be listed in the March trial term, according to court records. He is charged with four counts of indecent assault, two counts of aggravated indecent assault, and one count each of attempted rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent exposure and corruption of minors, according to court records.

martinsburg@herald-mail.com WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A 71-year-old man has been accused of sexually abusing two girls several times - including once when he allegedly assaulted the older girl while his infirm wife was downstairs. Waynesboro Police said William Johnson of Clay Hill Road in Quincy Township, Pa., molested the girls - ages 12 and 8 - from 1999 to this year. Police said they arrested Johnson Monday outside the Waynesboro Post Office on East Main Street. Johnson was charged with four counts of indecent assault, two counts of aggravated indecent assault and one count each of rape, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent exposure and corruption of a minor, according to charging documents.

Landover, Md., man sentenced, ordered to register as sex offender By MARLO BARNHART marlob@herald-mail.com The wife and family of a Landover, Md., man charged in last June's sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl in Doub's Woods Park were in Washington County Circuit Court Tuesday as he was sentenced to serve four years in prison. The victim, now 15, was in court with her family. Frankie Lorenzo Marshall, 34, of 7720 Muncie Road, pleaded guilty to two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, for which he received two one-year jail terms.

W.Va. man gets year in county sexual assault By MARLO BARNHART / Staff Writer A Berkeley Springs, W.Va., man, convicted of second-degree assault in May, was sentenced in Washington County Circuit Court Monday to serve one year in jail. Circuit Judge Frederick Wright also ordered Alan A. Moser, 51, to pay $5,200 in restitution to the victim, according to court records. He was placed on probation for three years. A Washington County Circuit jury deliberated three hours on May 31 after a two-day trial that included testimony from the victim, who said Moser forced her to have sexual intercourse on April 24, 1999, in her Boonsboro home.
