A Jefferson County grand jury this week handed up indictments on a range of criminal charges, according to court records. Among those indicted were: Paul James Feia, 49, of 7225 Pine Drive in Annandale, Va., one count of DUI third offense. Nicholas Michael West, 27, of 3986 Alcoa Drive in Fairfax, Va., one count of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, one count of possession with intent to deliver Alprazolam and one count of carrying a concealed weapon without a license.

A man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service on allegations of sexually assaulting children in Pennsylvania may be frequenting the Hagerstown area, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Shawn Fake, 42, no address given, is wanted on warrants from York, Pa., a  sheriff's office news release said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts can call Deputy U.S. Marshal Philip Lewis at 717-943-2088.

After four hours of deliberation, a Berkeley County Circuit Court jury Thursday found a 56-year-old man guilty of sexually assaulting a pastor's son in 2002, court officials said. Ronald Dewayne Smith, who was previously convicted in 1995 of sexually abusing a Jefferson County boy in 1976, was found guilty Thursday of two counts of sexual abuse by a custodian and one count of third-degree sexual assault. Smith is scheduled to be sentenced June 18 by presiding 23rd Judicial Circuit Judge Christopher C. Wilkes, according to Berkeley County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Gregory K. Jones.

The trial for a 56-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a pastor's son is set to begin today in Berkeley County Circuit Court. Ronald Dewayne Smith, who was previously convicted in 1995 of sexually abusing a Jefferson County boy in the mid-1970s, now faces allegations that he assaulted a preteen boy in 2002. Smith was indicted in May 2011 on two counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual assault third degree in the most recent case. The latest sexual allegations surfaced in December 2010, after the victim and his family moved out of the Martinsburg area, according to court records.

Local police confirmed Wednesday that they are investigating allegations of a school-day sexual assault that occurred in February at Waynesboro Area Senior High School. A Waynesboro woman concerned about hall monitoring and policies for how students' misbehavior is reported addressed the Waynesboro Area School Board this week, saying her daughter was involved in the alleged assault. She questioned why students are able to wander the halls during advisory periods, why the halls are not better monitored, and why surveillance cameras' footage is not regularly reviewed.

A Washington County man indicted in 1994 on 321 counts of sexual assault, pornography and related charges pleaded not guilty to the allegations Thursday in Berkeley County Circuit Court. A trial for Randall Ray Waugh, 52, of Hagerstown - who is accused of sexually assaulting a Bunker Hill, W.Va., boy dozens of times beginning in 1988 and three developmentally disabled males in the early 1990s - was scheduled for Aug. 28 during an arraignment hearing before 23rd Judicial Circuit Judge Gina M. Groh.

The following are some of the individuals who were indicted last week by a Berkeley County grand jury during the February term of circuit court. The remaining indictments will run in Monday's Herald-Mail. Stephen M. Kerrick, 42, incarcerated at Eastern Regional Jail, on four counts of fraudulent use of an access device and one count of conspiracy. Perrin L. Carter, 24, of 172 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, W.Va., on counts of malicious assault, domestic battery and domestic assault.

The arraignment of a Washington County man indicted in Berkeley County in 1994 on 321 counts of sexual assault, pornography and related charges was postponed Thursday in Berkeley County Circuit Court. Randall Ray Waugh, 52, of Hagerstown, is accused of sexually assaulting a Bunker Hill, W.Va., boy dozens of times beginning in 1988, according to the indictment and Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Pamela Games-Neely. The victim, who turned 9 that year, was sexually assaulted in subsequent years before Waugh's indictment, according to court documents and Games-Neely.

Three sought after police search homes MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Police said they are looking for three individuals after they searched two homes on West Burke Street Thursday as part of an ongoing drug investigation. Martinsburg Police Department officers searched 120 W. Burke St. and 122 W. Burke St., which are in the same building, according to a news release. A small amount of marijuana, paraphernalia, a small caliber pistol and a stun gun were found, the release said.
