May 19 - May 25 The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone over 60 years old at seven locations - Hancock, Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport and three in Hagerstown. A two-day reservation notice is required and a donation is asked per meal. For information, call 301-790-0275. Weekly menu Wednesday - Shepherds pie, spinach salad, whole grain bread, cherries, and milk. Thursday - Vegetable soup, cold cut sub with lettuce, tomato and onion, banana, and milk.

Thursday - Rib dippers with barbecue sauce, potato wedges, creamy coleslaw, whole grain bread, rosy applesauce and milk.

Nov. 18 to Nov. 24 The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone 60 years and older at eight locations - Hancock, Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport, Clear Spring and three in Hagerstown. The agency requires that you call by 11:30 a.m. to give them a two-working-days reservation notice. A donation is asked per meal. For information, call 301-790-0275. Weekly menu o Wednesday - Tomato soup with crackers, toasted-cheese sandwich, cucumber and onion salad, sliced apples, bread and milk.

School lunch menus for the week of Monday, May 26 through Friday, May 30: Washington County Monday - No school. Tuesday - Cheesy bread pizza or grilled chicken patty on bun, green beans and marinara sauce. Secondary also may choose tomato soup. Wednesday - Chicken nuggets with mini biscuit or crunchy fish sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy, peaches and peas. Secondary also may choose noodle soup. Thursday - Baked ziti with Texas toast or chunky turkey salad sandwich, garden salad, pears and Italian ice. Secondary also may choose vegetable soup.
