A strong-armed robbery was reported Thursday night in the area of Jonathan and West Church streets in Hagerstown, a Washington County Emergency Services supervisor said. The robber demanded money from the victim and took off with an unknown amount of cash in the incident, which took place about 7:30 p.m., the supervisor said. No injuries were reported. Responding Hagerstown Police officers were looking for the robber in the area of North Prospect Street, but the search was unsuccessful as of about 9 p.m., the supervisor said.

A Hagerstown man has been arrested and charged in connection to a recent armed robbery of a store on Pennsylvania Avenue, the Hagerstown Police Department said Friday. Police on Wednesday identified and later arrested Alfred Conrad Teabout Jr., 47, of 428 Jonathan St., as the man responsible for the March 9 robbery of Family Dollar at 921 Pennsylvania Ave., according to a news release. Teabout is charged with armed robbery, robbery, reckless endangerment and theft, police said.

Washington Township, Pa., police on Monday released a photograph from a July 9 armed robbery at the Blue Ridge Food Mart at 15010 Buchanan Trail East. Police said they are searching for a male suspect, but did not release a description. Previously, police said the man fired a gun during the 11:25 p.m. robbery. A clerk was treated at a hospital for minor injuries and released. Anyone with information about the incident may call police at 717-762-1447.

Police are investigating an armed robbery at California Dreams bar and grill at 4502 Hedgesville Road west of Martinsburg, W.Va., according to a Berkeley County emergency communications supervisor. The reported robbery, which was called in at 3:10 p.m., is being investigated by the West Virginia State Police, according to police. The robber displayed a handgun when he robbed the business, police said. He was described as a white male in his 20s and he had a beard, police said.

FREDERICK, Md. - Two more people have been charged following a robbery and shooting early Sunday at a Frederick apartment complex, according to the Frederick Police Department. Kristene Lee Lattin, 23, has already been charged with two counts each of armed robbery, robbery and theft, and one count each of attempted armed robbery, attempted robbery and attempted theft, and conspiracy to commit each of those offenses in the incident at Fieldpointe Apartments, police said. Police said Wednesday an arrest warrant was issued for Calvin Walker Hester, age 21, charging him with attempted first degree murder, three counts of first- and second-degree assault, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of robbery, one count of attempted armed robbery, one count of attempted robbery, two counts of theft, one count of attempted theft, use of a handgun in the commission of a violent crime, handgun on person, three counts of reckless endangerment and conspiracy to commit the robbery related charges, according to a Frederick Police Department news release.

A 34-year-old man has been charged in the armed robbery Monday night of a pizza delivery driver in the Chewsville area, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said in a news release. David William Scott Mills, of no fixed address, was charged with armed robbery, first- and second-degree assault, and theft of more than $100, the release said. The robbery on Twin Springs Road at Waltz Road was reported at about 10 p.m. The driver told police he had been robbed at knifepoint of cash and two pizzas, according to the release.

A man has been charged with robbery Friday at a home at 16 West Side Ave., Hagerstown police said. Dwayne Allen Smith, 38, address not provided, was charged with strong-arm robbery, according to a police department news release. Police said they were called to the home on West Side Avenue for a report of a robbery Friday morning. Police alleged that Smith got into an argument with family members at the home and forcibly took cash and prescription medication. Smith fled and was captured a few hours later when he returned to the scene, according to police.

Hagerstown police have released video surveillance photos taken during an armed robbery Aug. 11 at the 7-Eleven convenience store at 802 Salem Ave. The robbery was reported at about 3:25 a.m., police said in a news release. A man entered the store, produced a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register before fleeing the scene, police said. The man was about 20 to 25 years old and was wearing a black shirt and blue pants, according to the release.

A 17-year-old Chambersburg boy has been charged as an adult in a robbery Thursday of Park Avenue Pharmacy, according to borough police. Ryan Nicholas Laprad, of 1012 Paper Mill Road, is charged with one count of robbery, a first-degree felony, police said. He was arraigned Friday morning before Magisterial District Judge Todd R. Williams and was being held in Franklin County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 5 at 1 p.m. in Franklin County Central Court, according to court records.
