Deputies were investigating a report of a robbery Friday night at Rosewood Liquors at 11205 John F. Kennedy Drive east of Hagerstown, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. The robbery occurred at about 10:45 p.m. when a man entered the store and demanded cash, according to a member of the sheriff's office. It was unknown if the man was armed, and he fled on foot in an unknown direction, according to the Washington County Emergency Communications Center. The man was described as black, about 6 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds with a muscular build, and wearing a red hat, black shirt and shorts, a dispatcher said.

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Sunday's fifth annual Yule Tea at Berkeley Castle was a sold-out affair again. The annual tea party is a fundraiser for the Museum of the Berkeley Springs, and the donated funds will be used to continue to expand the museum exhibits and the virtual museum, said Jeanne Mozier, board secretary. Berkeley Castle is the home of Andrew Gosline, and he has allowed the use of the castle for the fundraiser teas since 2003. "It's very nice to open our home to the town and have it decorated for the holiday season," Gosline said, "and it's for a good cause.
