The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone 60 years and older at six locations - Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport and three in Hagerstown. Smithsburg, Keedysville and Williamsport are open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Potomac Towers, Walnut Towers and Francis Murphy are open Monday through Friday. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the days they are open. The agency requires that you call by 11:30 a.m. to give them a two-working-days reservation notice.

Aug. 26 to Sept. 1 The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone 60 years and older at seven locations - Hancock, Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport and three in Hagerstown. Weekly menu Wednesday - Round pizza, garden salad with chick peas, Mandarin oranges and milk. Thursday - Minestrone soup with crackers, hot ham and cheese sandwich, steamed broccoli, large banana and milk.

Washington County All meals include a choice of milk and two selections of fruits and vegetables. An assortment of fresh, frozen and canned fruits and vegetables will be offered in all schools. Monday - Chicken patty or sausage and egg bun. Tuesday - Chili hot dog or tuna-salad sandwich. Wednesday - Baked ziti or steak and cheese sub. Thursday - Roast turkey dinner or grilled cheese sandwich. Friday - Cheeseburger or chipotle burger or turkey and cheese wrap.
