Aug. 23 -Aug. 29 The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone 60 years and older at seven locations - Hancock, Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport and three in Hagerstown. A two-day reservation notice is required and a donation is asked per meal. For information, call 301-790-0275. Weekly menu Wednesday - Cheese pizza, corn, spinach salad with garbanzo beans, applesauce, Italian ice and milk. Thursday - Hamburger with lettuce, tomato and onion, potato wedges, pineapple coleslaw, watermelon wedge and milk.

School lunch menus Washington County June 3-June 6 Elementary - Tuesday, June 3 - Chipped ham and cheese on bun, mixed vegetables, coleslaw, mixed fruit, fruit turnover and milk. Wednesday, June 4 - Super taco with cheese, salsa, lettuce and tomato, spanish rice, corn, apple and milk. Thursday, June 5 - Manager's choice. Friday, June 6 - Manager's choice. A donation is asked per meal. For information, call 301-790-0275. Weekly menu Wednesday — Baked macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, steamed broccoli, apricots, bread and milk. Thursday — Breaded chicken, baked beans, pineapple coleslaw, banana, bread and milk.

2 ounces vodka, very cold 1 1/2 ounces pineapple juice 3/4 ounce cream 3/4 ounce coconut cream Dash grenadine Crushed ice Maraschino cherries, for garnish Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. Serve in a tall glass topped with maraschino cherries. For a thicker version, combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker, shake vigorously to combine, then strain into a cocktail glass. Tuesday - pizza, garden salad, pineapple chunks, Italian ice and milk. Wednesday - shrimp poppers with cocktail sauce, macaroni and cheese, broccoli, fruit and milk. Thursday - twin crunchy or soft tacos, corn, peaches, frosty fruit bar and milk. Friday - bread sticks with marinara sauce, green beans, pears, smoothie and milk.
