One person was killed and four other people, including an infant, were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday on Pa. 16, Washington (Pa.) Township police said at the scene. Two vehicles were westbound on Pa. 16 when one vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel and struck an eastbound pickup truck, Sgt. Vernon Ashway said. “The black Jeep impacted the rear of the red car and pushed the red car into the front of the pickup truck. That's what it looks like at this time,” Ashway said.

Pickup truck stolen in Maryland School for the Deaf break-in FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Police in Frederick are investigating the theft of a pickup truck, tools and cash from the Maryland School for the Deaf. The break-in at the school's Career and Technology Building was reported Sunday morning. Police say classrooms were ransacked and some property was destroyed. They say a 1995 GMC truck belonging to a staff member was stolen from a garage in the building.

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick, Md., man was killed when his pickup truck ran off the road late Monday, Maryland State Police said. Mark Joseph Kelly, 43, was northbound on Md. 75 when his 1996 Chevy S-10 pickup truck ran off the road, hit a concrete culvert and embankment and overturned, police said. Medical Examiner Larry West pronounced Kelly dead at the scene from head trauma police said. Kelly's pet dog also died in the wreck.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man died Friday after his pickup truck was involved in a head-on collision with a Kenworth box truck on Shepherdstown Road, according to a West Virginia State Police press release. Kent Maynard Haase, who was driving a 1994 Ford pickup truck, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:30 a.m. accident, according to the release. Steven Robert Berry of Martinsburg, who was driving the box truck, was uninjured, according to the release. The accident happened on Shepherdstown Road about a quarter-mile east of Files Cross Road in Berkeley County, according to the release.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. An older model pickup truck crashed Friday afternoon through the window of Dtrick Davis' Urban Apparels at the intersection of Main and South Potomac streets in Waynesboro. The truck was being towed by a full-size blue Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck at 2:45 p.m. when the tow bar broke, police said. The driver, a white man with long, brown hair and a baseball cap, continued south on South Potomac Street, police said. Anyone with information on the incident may call police at 717-762-2132.

NEW MARKET - An area woman died in a Baltimore hospital Sunday after her car collided with a pickup truck in Frederick County, Maryland State Police said. Carol Elaine Abell, 31, of New Market, Md., was pronounced dead at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore, at 12:10 p.m., police said. The collision occurred about 1:35 p.m. Saturday at Boyers Mill Road near New Market Court. The driver of the pickup truck, James R. McGinnis, 41, of New Park, Pa., was released after treatment at Shock Trauma.

FREDERICK, Md. - An Adamstown, Md., man was charged with having marijuana Wednesday after Maryland State Police searched his pickup truck. Police were in the area looking for a car abandoned from an earlier pursuit. Troopers said they came across an occupied Ford F-150 pickup truck in a wooded area adjacent to Greenfield Road at 4:30 p.m. Troopers said the occupant "appeared nervous. " Raymond L. Brooks, 27, agreed to a search of his truck and 3.1 grams of suspected marijuana were found, police alleged.

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick County Public Schools bus driver was charged with malicious destruction of property after he drove a school bus into the side of a pickup truck driven by his father-in-law Thursday, according to a Maryland State Police press release. No students were on the bus at the time of the collision, police said. Dale Allan Tressler, 38, of the 11000 block of Liberty Road in Frederick, still was employed by the FCPS transportation department, but is on administrative leave, a transportation spokeswoman said Friday afternoon.
