Hagerstown Police respond to incidents The Hagerstown Police Department responded to the following incidents: Monday At 3:36 p.m.,  a theft was reported in the 100 block of Alexander Street. At 4:11 p.m., a death was reported on West Baltimore Street. At 6:50 p.m., a burglary was reported on Belview Avenue. At 7:12 p.m., a personal injury accident occurred at Summit Avenue and West Lee Street. Tuesday At 1:20 a.m., a burglary in progress was reported in the 100 block of Broadway.

A 76-year-old woman died Saturday after she was struck by a car while attempting to return to her vehicle from a yard sale in Franklin County, Pennsylvania State Police said. Caroline V. Croft of Shippensburg, died at the crash scene along U.S. 11 near Pin Oak Court in Greene Township, police said. The crash occurred at 10:27 a.m., police said. Croft was struck in close proximity to her vehicle by a 1997 Buick Century driven by Georgia Davis, 64, of Orrstown, Pa., police said.

A 48-year-old Chambersburg man who was struck by a car while riding a bicycle in Southampton Township Friday night has died, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release Sunday. Jeffrey I. Coons was riding a bike south on Airport Road at 11:02 p.m. when he was struck from behind by a 2004 Toyota Sequoia being driven by Mark E. Nealy, 42, of Shippensburg, according to the release. Coons, who was thrown over the hood of the vehicle, was flown to Hershey (Pa.) Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 3:45 a.m. Saturday, the release said.

Several police agencies in Franklin County, Pa., and the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia are participating in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day this weekend. On Saturday, people can drop off expired, unwanted or unused medications at various locations. Most drop-off points do not accept needles.   In Southcentral Pennsylvania: The Greencastle Police Department will be collecting medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Food Lion in Greencastle. Two people kicked in the door at a home near Penn State Mont Alto on Monday morning and stole $5,000 from a woman, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release. One of the male suspects held a gun to the 24-year-old victim's head during the 8:30 a.m. robbery in the 7300 block of Slabtown Road, police said. The college campus issued a warning that individuals stay inside and lock their doors. That warning was later lifted, and classes were to be held as regularly scheduled, according to Penn State Mont Alto's website.

Pa. woman remains hospitalized from crash CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Fayetteville, Pa., woman remained hospitalized Monday morning at York (Pa.) Hospital following a Saturday night traffic accident. Dominique N. Snair, 24, was listed in serious condition Monday morning, a hospital spokesman said. She was flown to York Hospital to be treated for injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle accident at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on Rocky Mountain Road in Guilford Township, Pa., according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police.

A 12-year-old girl missing from her Orrstown, Pa., residence was found in Buffalo, N.Y., according to Pennsylvania State Police. State police spokesman Robert T. A 12-year-old girl reported missing from her Franklin County home has been found, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release Sunday morning. Dakota Moon Turner, 12, of Orrstown, Pa., was found by the Buffalo Police Department, police said. She had been missing since Friday at 4:53 p.m., troopers said. Dakota's mother left the house to pick up her children at a day-care facility on Friday at 4:53 p.m. When her mother returned home about 20 minutes later, Dakota was not there, troopers said.

A man was flown to York (Pa.) Medical Center to be treated for major injuries he suffered in a traffic accident Tuesday night in the 2200 block of Path Valley Road in Franklin County, Pennsylvania State Police said. The 43-year-old man, whose name was not released, had major injuries to his head, neck and arms, and possibly suffered internal injuries, according to a state police news release. Troopers said the man lost control of his vehicle at about 8:20 p.m. while he was negotiating a right curve and the vehicle spun out of control and struck a tree.

Students suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a Chambersburg (Pa.) Area School District bus on Tuesday afternoon, according to Pennsylvania State Police and Franklin County Emergency Services. A cargo van hit the back of a school bus shortly before 4 p.m. in the 6000 block of U.S. 11 in Guilford Township, a 911 dispatcher said. The bus was stopped with its red lights activated when the accident occurred, state police said. The man in the van suffered serious injuries and was flown to a hospital, the dispatcher and state police said.
