CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Two Dollar General employees were robbed at gunpoint as they left the store after closing Monday, Pennsylvania State Police said in a news release. At about 9:30 p.m., a man approached them, demanded money and displayed a small black handgun, police said. He was described as a black man in his 20s, between 6 feet and 6 feet 4 inches tall, with a thin to medium build, wearing dark clothing, police said. CHAMBERSBURG, PA. - A West Virginia man whom Pennsylvania State Police said made hundreds of calls to businesses asking women employees about their feet was sentenced Wednesday in Franklin County Court to probation. "What do they call a foot doctor?" Judge John Walker asked the court stenographer during the sentencing of James Lee Fink. Getting the answer, Walker then jokingly suggested Fink should have thought about being a podiatrist. Fink, 31, whose last known address was in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Md. trooper breaks leg, but makes arrest FREDERICK, Md. -- A Maryland State Police trooper broke his leg chasing a man after a traffic stop Sunday evening, but still managed to take him into custody, Maryland State Police said. Trooper 1st Class J. Tindal stopped a vehicle for speeding at 7:02 p.m. on Interstate 270 north of Md. 80, police said. As he approached the vehicle he saw a back seat passenger, Daniel Rocco Famulare, 22, of Darnestown, Md., move as if he were reaching for something under the driver's seat, police said.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - After a traffic stop on Saturday, a Chambersburg resident was charged with driving under the influence, Pennsylvania State Police said. Jody L. Myers Jr., 18, was stopped about 2:20 a.m. at Pa. 995 and U.S. 30, police said in a news release.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police said they are investigating the theft of copper wire at 5380 Manheim Road in Chambersburg. Someone took copper wire from Allegheny Power sometime between Sept. 1 and Nov. 3, police said in a news release.

Copper wire was stolen from two machines at Valley Quarries Inc. at 243 Black Gap Road, according to Pennsylvania State Police. The wire was stolen after someone entered the facility through a break in a fence, state police said. The theft occurred between June 4 and June 6, police said.

FANNETTSBURG, Pa. -- Pennsylvania State Police said they were looking for a person who committed a burglary Aug. 18. Someone broke into a home on Long Lane and took firearms and a small amount of money, police said in a news release. Police asked anyone with information about the burglary to call 717-264-5161.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A counterfeit $10 bill was passed at the Wal-Mart store in Guilford Township earlier this month, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Police said the bogus bill was used for a Jan. 3 purchase.
