By CLYDE FORD Staff Writer, Charles Town CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A Kearneysville, W.Va., man was charged Wednesday with abducting a 7-year-old Inwood, W.Va., girl from her home as she and her family slept, according to deputies and court records. Leonard Austin "Tinker" Ellinger Jr., 32, of 129 Evergreen Drive, Kearneysville, was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday while he was at work at Dalb Inc., in the Bardane, W.Va., industrial park, said Jefferson County Chief Deputy Jesse Jones.

FREDERICK, Md. - A 20-year-old Frederick woman died early Thursday after she was thrown from a vehicle on Gambrill Park Road, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Department. Tinika Lanae Onley was pronounced dead at Frederick Memorial Hospital about an hour after the 12:37 a.m. accident. The driver, James Allen Warfield, 18, of Frederick, was treated and released from the hospital. There was no report of injury to another passenger, Ebony Lashere Goines, 20, of Frederick.

Sara Jane "Sally" St. Clair, 74, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, after a long illness. Born July 16, 1938, in Lewistown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jesse A. and Thelma M. Rowe. She was a 1956 graduate of Hagerstown High School. She was employed by Kmart for many years, and retired in 2011 from First Data. She was a member of Park Road Bible Church. She is survived by her loving husband, Victor M. St. Clair; a daughter, Pamela S. Needy; a son, Victor M. St. Clair Jr.; a brother, Jesse A. Rowe Jr.; and two granddaughters, Amber St. Clair and Kayla Needy.

W.Va. kidnapper pleads guilty MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - In what the prosecuting attorney called a rare case of accepting responsibility, Leonard Austin Ellinger Jr. pleaded guilty Monday to kidnapping a 7-year-old girl, a charge that carries a life sentence. Ellinger, 32, of Kearneysville, W.Va., was sentenced immediately after his plea was entered in Berkeley County Circuit Court. Prosecuting Attorney Pamela Games-Neely said she agreed to the plea because the child was returned physically unharmed.

By DAVE McMILLION and CLYDE FORD Staff Writers MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Kearneysville, W.Va., man who was charged Wednesday with abducting a 7-year-old girl from her Berkeley County home was facing another charge Thursday, according to police. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Leonard Austin Ellinger Jr., for the charge of nighttime burglary, entering without breaking, according to Capt. Curtis Keller of the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department. A conviction on the felony charge carries a prison sentence of one to 15 years, Keller said.
