-MARCH 25, 2011 On Friday, March 25, 2011, the beloved wife of Jason E. Williams; mother of Bryan Buckler, Breanne and Jase Williams; daughter of David and Jane Buckler; sister of Pam (Phillip Bowers) Buckler and the late John Buckler; granddaughter of the late Madaline Buckler and Richard and Mary Wolfe.   Family and friends are invited to Cheryl’s life celebration on Wednesday, March 30, from 11 a.m. until service time at noon at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, Md. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

JAN. 16, 1923-JAN. 14, 2011 Elizabeth Katherine Munitz, 87, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown. Born Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1923, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Alfred Frederick Barghausen and Mary Jeanette Fitzgerald Barghausen. She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy McKinsey and husband, Mick, of Hagerstown, and Linda McGehee and husband, Steven, of Waldorf, Md.; son, Robert Xander and wife, Patricia, of Clifton, Va.; brother, Alfred Barghausen of Boulder, Colo.

-APRIL 12, 2010 John E. Buckler died Monday, April 12, 2010. He was the beloved son of David E. and Elizabeth Jane Buckler; brother of Pamela J. Buckler and Cheryl A. Williams; grandson of the late Richard H. Sr. and Mary Wolfe, and the late Madaline Buckler. He is also survived by four nephews, Mark and Nicholas Mann, Bryan Buckler and Jase Williams; and two nieces, Breanne Williams and Madalyn Mann. Friends are invited to John's life celebration Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, P.A., 6160 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill, Md. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday, April 16, at 10 a.m. from St. Bernardine of Siena Catholic Church, 2400 Brooks Drive, Suitland, Md. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.

Elizabeth "Jane" (Wolfe) Buckler passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012. She was a native of Hagerstown, Md. She worked for C&P for 38 years. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Queens and Alhambra Sultana.  She is survived by her loving husband, David Buckler; daughter, Pamela Buckler-Bowers; her grandchildren, Mark, Nicolas, Bryan, Breanne and Jase; great-granddaughter, Madalyn; sons-in-law, Phillip Bowers and Jason Williams; and brothers, Richard Wolfe Jr. and Donald Wolfe.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard H. Wolfe Sr. and Mary Ellen (Betty)

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg man died Thursday morning, a day after he was shot twice in the head outside Berkeley Garden Apartments. [cont. from front page ] Kevin Smith, 22, was pronounced dead at 10:15 a.m. at Fairfax Inova Hospital in Virginia, according to police. His death turned the shooting case into a homicide investigation, according to Lt. Kenneth LeMaster of the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. Smith's body would be turned over to Virginia authorities for an autopsy to retrieve the two expended bullets and to determine exact cause of death, said LeMaster.

JAN. 15, 1915-SEPT. 19, 2010 Elsie Paige Jackson-Doleman, 95, of Hagerstown, Md., died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown, Md. Born Jan. 15, 1915, in Luray, Va., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Emma V. Jackson. She was the wife of 65 years to Isaac C. Doleman, whom she married Jan. 13, 1945. Elsie graduated from North Street School in Hagerstown, and was employed by the Washington County Board of Education with more than 10 years of service.

waynesboro@herald-mail.com GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Food Lion LLC, which will close 41 of its 1,241 grocery stores, has laid off 16 employees in its warehouse in Greencastle, a company spokesman said Tuesday. None of the 41 stores targeted for closure are in the Tri-State area, said Jeff Lowrance, corporate communications manager at Food Lion's corporate offices in Salisbury, N.C. The stores will be closed by the end of the month. Closings will cost the jobs of 1,500 full- and part-time workers in 10 states, about 100 workers in the company's seven distribution centers, including the 16 in Greencastle.

Man charged theft from Martinsburg pawn shop MARTINSBURG, W.Va. -- Martinsburg Police arrested one of two males accused of stealing more than $50,000 in gold and diamond rings from Frazier's Pawn Shop in Martinsburg early Friday, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records. Justin Edward Combs, 22, of 705 N. High St. in Martinsburg, was arraigned Friday on one count of breaking and entering and one count of grand larceny by Berkeley County Magistrate Harry L. Snow.
