JUNE 17, 1943-AUG. 5, 2011 Regina Jeannette (Jeannie) Kline, 68, of 17327 Branden Terrace in Hagerstown, Md., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at her home. Born June 17, 1943, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Russell Marvin and Thelma Elizabeth Reuschel Haugh. She graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1961, Washington County Hospital School of Nursing in 1964 and the Real Estate Institute in 1995. She began her professional career as a registered nurse at Washington County Hospital and ended it as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker.

Wedding announcements for 9/2 Ryman-Arant Gabrielle Lynn Arant and Christopher Neil Ryman were married Saturday, June 24, 2000, at Brownsville Church of the Brethren in Brownsville. The bride is the daughter of Michael and Marsha Deal of Boonsboro and the late Jack M. Arant. The bridegroom is the son of Kenneth and Janice Ryman of Mauertown, Va. The bride is a 1992 graduate of Boonsboro High School and a 1996 graduate of University of Maryland, College Park.

GREENCASTLE, PA. waynesboro@herald-mail.com A chance meeting between a young man and a young woman in Myrtle Beach, S.C., eventually led to a marriage, two children and a job as executive director of the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce. William Gour, 37, spent his first day on the job Monday as successor to Dana Given. Given headed the Chamber since 1999. She leaves Aug. 12 for Nashville, Tenn. She will help Gour with the transition until she leaves. Given was honored at a daylong open house celebration Thursday for her years of service to the Chamber and the community.

That drive to the beach this summer will cost about twice as much as it did just five years ago. With gasoline prices averaging around $3 per gallon on the East Coast and about $3.25 per gallon in the West, summer travelers are having to make adjustments to pay for the added costs. And some aren't traveling at all. "For people that are not traveling, the No. 1 reason is high gas prices," AAA Mid-Atlantic spokesman Troy Green said. Among those who are traveling, many are choosing to take shorter trips to closer destinations, Green said.

COLLEGE TRACK SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Hagerstown Community College's Jerry Rose placed second in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes Saturday, as the Hawks opened their outdoor track & field season at the Susquehanna Invitational. Rose clocked times of 10.88 and 22.10 seconds. HCC also got second-place efforts from Andrew Morgan in the 400 (49.67) and Ike Cartledge in the 800 (1:59.30). On the women's side, Carmisha Williams took second in the 200 in 26.76 for the Hawks, while Carrie Hartman took eighth in the 400 in 1:03.

The First-Friday Classic Car Cruise-in will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. on Potomac Street in Williamsport. Music will be by the band Chubby. There will also be door prizes and 50/50s. A donation of $3 is requested. The event benefits Kahlil Butler, the 12-year-old grandson of River City barber Donna Himes. JAN. 24, 1943-MARCH 25, 2009 WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Larry M. Cool, 66, of 4725 Washington Meadows Lane, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, while vacationing in Florida. Born Jan. 24, 1943, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Maurice D. and June E. Eigenbrode Cool. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School, Hagerstown. He attended Pontifical College-Josephium in Worthington, Ohio, and Hagerstown Junior College. He also studied at Dale Carnegie, Sales Analysis Institute and Research Institute of America.

APRIL 28, 1971- Richard "Joe" Noll, 39, passed away peacefully after suffering a stroke brought on by complications resulting from a traumatic brain injury from a motor-vehicle accident in 1995. Born April 28, 1971, in Martinsburg, he is the son of Vickie L. Marschner and his stepfather, Chris Marschner, of Hagerstown, and the late Lawrence Noll. Joe resided at Rosa’s Care Home. He attended Easter Seals Adult Day program in Hagerstown. Prior to his accident, Joe was a quality-control inspector at TFX Marine in Hagerstown.

JUNE 24, 1932-JULY 18, 2007 MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Leon David Souders Sr., 75, of Mercersburg, passed away at Manor Care Health Center while in the company of family members on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Mr. Souders was born on June 24, 1932, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late David and Mary Ellen Shaw Souders. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye (Zeigler) Souders, in 1998. He attended Boonsboro High School. He was a retired farmer; and, he had worked for the Jamison Door Co. for 25 years as a supervisor.

James William (Bill) Kegley, 67, of 506 Quincy Hall Drive, Myrtle Beach, S.C., died on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Julia Manor Nursing Home. Born Jan. 29, 1944, in Beckley, W.Va., he was the son of the late Horace Hampton and Macie Blanch Kuhn Hopkins. He was raised by James and Jean Kegley. He was employed with the police force in the District of Columbia for more than six years. He loved sports, including the Dallas Cowboys football team and basketball. He loved vacationing on cruises and singing country music.
