MARCH 29, 1948-MAY 4, 2010 KEYSER, W.Va. - Donald W. Moore II, 62, of Keyser, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland, Md. Born March 29, 1948, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., he was the son of Lillie (Rockenbaugh) Moore and the late Rev. Donald W. Moore. Mr. Moore graduated from Allegheny Community College of Pennsylvania with an AA degree. He was employed as a film scanner at NISC, Rocket Center, W.Va. Donald was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lutheran Chancel Choir, Polish Pines Golf Club and Board of Directors.

JUNE 24, 1927-APRIL 18, 2010 WILLIAMSPORT - John Leo Moore Jr., 82, of Williamsport, Md., and formerly of Severna Park, Md., died Sunday, April 18, 2010, at Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown, Md. Born June 24, 1927, in Providence, R.I., he was the son of the late John Leo Moore Sr. and Annabelle Cecelia Eastwood Moore. He graduated high school in Pawtucket, R.I., and graduated from Brown University, Providence, R.I. He was a book editor for Congressional Quarterly in Washington, D.C., for 20 years, until retiring in 1990.

FEB. 16, 1917-DEC. 11, 2009 WILLIAMSPORT - Ruth Alberta Moore passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at Hilltop Vistas Assisted Living at Homewood in Williamsport, where she had been a resident for the past five years. She previously resided at 300 Woodpoint Ave., Hagerstown. Born Feb. 16, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Clyde E. Hose and Clara Swartz Hose. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Hagerstown, Vita Vota Class and sang with the senior choir.

Susan C. Moore, 92, formerly of Harrisonville, Pa., died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Fulton County Medical Center Long Term Care Unit, McConnellsburg, Pa. Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, McConnellsburg. The service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

DEC. 19, 1930-OCT. 21, 2009 Doris Marie Moore, 78, of 410 Guilford Ave. in Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Washington County Hospital. Born Dec. 19, 1930, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry Charles Reese and Lena Elsie Baker Reese. She was a life member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren, Chapelwood Garden Club and AARP, and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jerry S. Moore, whom she married Dec. 2, 1952.

JAN. 31, 1927-OCT. 9, 2009 Jerry Moore Paxson, 82, of Hagerstown, passed away Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at Washington County Hospital. Born Jan. 31, 1927, in Purcellville, Va., he was the son of the late William Carroll and Nell (Humphrey) Paxson. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church in Hagerstown. He attended Duquesne University and Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where he was in the Army Specialized Training Program. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army Air Force.

WASHINGTON COUNTY -- When Kevin Moore was growing up in Fallston, Md., he knew he wanted to work outdoors. For the past 25 years, the Harford County native has lived his dream. Moore was honored recently, not just for his longevity with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forestry Service, but for his accomplishments. Named the 2008 Maryland Ranger of the Year, Moore currently performs the majority of the technical field activities in Frederick and Washington counties.

MARCH 3, 1953- Donna Kay Moore, 56, of Hancock, Md., passed away at her home. Born March 3, 1953, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of Anna D. Murray Gossard of Clear Spring and the late Samuel Mason Gossard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Lester Moore, in 1997. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Clear Spring and a member of Hancock High School Athletic Boosters Association. She graduated from Clear Spring High School Class of 1971.

CLEAR SPRING -- Allison Moore didn't grow up on a farm. She wasn't even active in 4-H as a child. But when the new president of the Maryland FFA attended a national convention with her Clear Spring High School chapter in 2005, she decided an agricultural career was right for her. "I looked out at a sea of blue jackets and I knew it was what I wanted to do," Allison said. Now, four years later, she is doing just that. The daughter of Doug and Cindy Moore of Clear Spring, Allison, 18, is a sophomore at Frostburg (Md.)

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Tyler Moore had two home runs and four RBIs to lead the Hagerstown Suns to a 6-2 victory over the Lexington Legends on Tuesday night. Michael Guerrero had three of Hagerstown's 10 hits, including a solo homer in the top of the first inning to give the Suns a 1-0 lead. After Lexington scored two in the second, the Suns tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth on Moore's first home run of the night -- a solo shot to left. Hagerstown took a 3-2 lead in the seventh against Legends starter David Duncan (1-2)
