Katrina Lyn Ralls of Hagerstown, daughter of Brenda Ralls of Hagerstown and Dennis Ralls of Smithsburg, graduated this year from Brooks Institute of Photography, Santa Barbara, Calif., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional photography with a concentration in portraiture. Ralls is a 2000 graduate of Smithsburg High School and graduated from Hagerstown Community College in 2004 with an Associate of Arts degree in photography. She plans to open her own business in the near future under the name Photography by Katrina or katrina.

Patrick S. Smith, 79, of 6 S. Main St. in Mont Alto, Pa., died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mont Alto (Rose Hill) Cemetery.

Milton M. Kosfeld, 87, of 13 Aspen Drive, Mont Alto, Pa., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. Services will be private. Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, Pa.

JAN. 19, 1918-APRIL 7, 2009 MONT ALTO, Pa. - Ruth S. Small Rock, 91, of 201 Park St., died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, in her home. Born Jan. 19, 1918, in Mont Alto, she was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Lillie Potter Small. Her husband, Samuel Edward Rock, died May 25, 1995. They were married Jan. 24, 1943. She graduated from Quincy High School with the class of 1935. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Wesley United Methodist Church, Mont Alto, where she was an officer and active member of Women's Society of Christian Service.
