Matthew Kessler of Hagerstown, a student at Mercersburg Academy, has been named a Commended Scholar by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Commended Scholars' scores on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test rank among the top 5 percent of the more than 1 million test takers.

Kiski School 36, Mercersburg 34 SALTSBURG, Pa. -- Trevor Smith threw for four touchdowns and ran for another for Mercersburg Academy, but the Blue Storm gave up 20 unanswered fourth-quarter points in a loss to Kiski School. Jordan Jefferson and David Erichsen each caught a pair of Smith TDs for Mercersburg (2-7).
