Sandra C. "Pete" Doyle, 69, of York, Pa., and formerly of McConnellsburg, Pa., died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at York General Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg. The service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Betty J. Lynch, 59, of McConnellsburg, Pa., died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg. The service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pennsylvania State Police in Fulton County were seeking a man in connection with the Tuesday robbery of the F&M Trust Bank branch at the Penn's Village Shopping Center. An arrest warrant was issued for Aaron Lee Deneen, 27, of 380 Lions Park Drive, McConnellsburg, police said. Deneen had not been taken into custody as of Tuesday night, police said. Anyone who sees Deneen is advised to use caution  and call state police at 717-484-3131. Police said a man identified as Deneen entered the bank at 2:39 p.m. and gave a handwritten note to one of the tellers that read “give me what you have and you will not get hurt,” police said.

A major investor in the parent company ofJLG Industries Inc.is calling for the access equipment manufacturer to become its own entity. Carl Icahn, an investor in Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Corp., told corporate executives earlier this month that JLG's operations should become a stand-alone business to better protect it from Oshkosh's defense-related functions, which are experiencing decreased sales, Reuters and other media outlets reported. Defense segment sales decreased 13.4 percent to $958.5 million for the third quarter of fiscal 2012, according to an earnings-related news release from Oshkosh Corp.

Ruth M. Carbaugh, 82, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa. Services will be private. Arrangements are by Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home Inc., McConnellsburg.

Mary C. Kell, 77, of McConnellsburg, Pa., died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg. A memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at 1 p.m. at United Methodist Church of McConnellsburg. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.
