BOYS SOCCER POTOMAC, Md. - Taka Tomita scored the only goal of the game on an assist from Steve Bumby as St. James beat St. Andrew's 1-0 on Wednesday. Peter Mundey recorded the shutout with six saves for St. James (6-3). St. Andrews outshot St. James, 17-7. Mercersburg 1, Maret 0 MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Will Hamilton scored on an assist from Emory Mort with three minutes left in the second half, leading Mercersburg Academy to the win. Andy Dansinger held the lead up with four saves in the shutout for Mercersburg (5-1-2, 4-1-2)

On Wednesday, the starters for the St. James boys' basketball team played all 32 minutes of their game with Maret. And they withstood the endurance test well, beating the Frogs, 50-44, in a Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference game. "That took a lot of guts," St. James coach Wayne Ridenour said. "That was pretty tough playing that physical of a game every minute.
