Yard sale helped those in need To the editor: On Saturday, Sept. 10, a yard sale was held at 210 Beech Lane, Mercersburg, Pa., with all the proceeds donated to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund through the American Red Cross. The sale raised $549.02 toward that cause. Many individuals came to help set up, run and clean up the yard sale, which was a two-day task. I would like to thank all of those who gave of their time, talents and funds to make this event a success.
