Leslie W. "Bill" Schetrompf, 37, of Johnstown, Pa., died Saturday, July 27, 2013.  Born Oct. 5, 1975, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Jonathan C. and Phyllis J. (Fogle) Schetrompf.  He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents, James and Louise Horner.  He is survived by his mother, Phyllis J. (Fogle) Schetrompf, of Johnstown; daughter, Destyni Cecil of Walkersville, Md.; brothers and sister, Jonathan L. Schetrompf Sr., married to Susan J. (Lake) of Harrisonville, Pa., Kimberly, married to William Gordon of Hagerstown, Md., Jamie, married to Lynn (Wachter)

Dolores “Dee” Ingram Miller, 84, of Johnstown, N.Y., passed away June 17, 2012, at Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown, after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. Born Dec. 19, 1927, in Hancock, Md., she was predeceased by her parents, John and Virginia French Ingram; her sister, Barbara Francis; and her brother, John Ingram. After high school, she worked for her father's business and Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown, Md. As a dedicated mother and homemaker, she resided in Hagerstown; Middletown, Conn., Battle Creek, Mich., and Johnstown.

JUNE 25, 1948-MAY 12, 2010 Mr. William Robert "Bob" Davis, 61, of Melody Lane, Hagerstown, Md., died at 1:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va. Mr. Davis was born in Roaring Spring on June 25, 1948, the son of William "Lloyd" and Bessie (Bailey) Davis of Imler. On April 12, 1996, he married Barbara L. (Coyle) Perdew-Davis. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by son, Chad A., husband of Jill (Dorsey) Davis, Broadview Heights, Ohio; daughter, Kelly L. (Davis)

Mrs. Dora Catherine "Dee" (Strassler) Ream, 76, of 15369 Young Road in Greencastle, Pa., and currently a guest of ManorCare Nursing Home in Chambersburg, Pa., died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the nursing home. Born May 30, 1936, in Stoystown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Cecil (Strassler) Black. She spent her early years in Johnstown, Pa. Mrs. Ream attended Richland High School and Church of the Brethren, both in Johnstown. She and her husband, Donald E. Ream Sr., were married in 1953 in Johnstown.

Hropovich, 69, of Hagerstown, Md., and formerly of Seward, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013, at home.    Born Jan. 23, 1944, in Johnstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Mike and Betty J. Rose Hropovich. He is survived by wife of 47 years, Patricia Reidell Hropovich; son Richard and wife, Aretta Foltz, of Seward; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael. He was a retired machinist and metallurgist with Mack Trucks, having 32 years of service.

Harry Felice Grandinett, 98, passed from this life on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012. Harry lived a life full of accomplishment, joy, and love for his family and his country. Born on April 14, 1914, in Johnstown, Pa., to Ortenzio and Maria Bevacqua Grandinetti. Harry graduated from Joseph Johns High School, Johnstown, and then from State Teachers College, Indiana, Pa., in 1941 with a BS in education. He was a member of the wrestling team and Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. He also was a cheerleader, which suited his dynamic personality and desire to always be surrounded by pretty women.

COLLEGE BASEBALL Shepherd splits with Johnstown SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Shepherd University's offense pushed across 22 runs, but the Rams could claim only one win, an 11-2 victory in the second game of a WVIAC doubleheader against Pitt-Johnstown. The Rams (20-16, 5-5) dropped the first game to UPJ (25-14, 7-3), 12-11. Shepherd had 15 hits in the victory, led by Chris Wilkins' three hits and four RBIs. Matt McCarty (6-1) went the distance, scattering five hits and striking out four.

MEN'S BASKETBALL Shepherd 70, Pitt-Johnstown 55 SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Sophomore guard Jonathan Motichka, a Chambersburg graduate, scored 20 of his game-high 26 points in the first half to lead Shepherd University to an upset win over 22nd-ranked Pitt-Johnstown in the West Virginia Conference on Saturday. Motichka matched his career high and hit on 7 of 11 shots, including 3-for-5 beyond the arc. He hit on 9 of 11 free throws. Junior guard Tyrone Roach added 12 points and five assists, while sophomore forward Liki Turner recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Rams (3-7, 2-1)
