Remember the good old days when Americans could make fun of Asian names such as Hoo Flung Poo? Remember the eighth-grade joke about the Chinese word for constipation being "hung chow?" The section formerly known as Next has a new name - Pulse. The revamped section launched Feb. 14, when we asked Tri-State-area teens to submit names. We received more than 300 suggestions, narrowed those down and asked for further help via a reader vote. Following staff discussion and readers voting for their favorite names, Pulse made the cut - thanks to Ashley Kendle of Hagerstown. She wins an iPod nano, which was offered as a reward to the person submitting the name selected for the teen section.
