Daniel Lafie Wolfe, 106, of Myersville, Md., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Frederick, Md. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, Middletown, Md. The service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville. Burial will be in Harmony Church of the Brethren cemetery.

Debra Lynn Wolfe, 53, Maugansville, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, at her home. The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville, Md. The service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the church. The Rev. Tracey L. Wiser will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Donald B. Thompson funeral Home, Middletown, Md.

Alice B. Huntsman, 81, of Hagerstown, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown. Born Jan. 12, 1931, in Harmony, Md., she was the daughter of Helen I. Baker Brandenburg, Myersville, and the late Charles Albert Brandenburg. Alice was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, graduated from MHS with the class of 1948 and retired after 20 years with the Department of Defense. She traveled abroad extensively with her first husband, the late Robert Clyde Smith, during his career and also with the Department of Defense.

Mrs. Patricia Ann Taulton Summers, 76, of Smithsburg, Md., died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, Md.  She was the wife of George Wesley Summers, who died in 1982. Born in Brunswick, Md., on July 23, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Harry Mahlon and Elizabeth Catherine Spaid Taulton.  She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville, Md. She is survived by four children, Martin Elwood Miller and Clark Mahlon Miller, both of Hagerstown, Debbie Selby of Frederick, Md., and Charles Summers of Springfield, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren, Gabe Miller and Emily Haydel of San Francisco, Calif., Andy Miller, Austin Miller and Chris Blackburn of Hagerstown, Kyle Miller and Garret Miller of Brunswick, Crystall Summers of Pennsylvania, Sandra Summers of Williamsport, Md., Tanjorie Godwin of Connecticut, K.C., Patsy and LeeAnn Summers of Hagerstown, and Nellie Summers of Alabama; and one brother, John Taulton and wife, Debbie, of Jefferson, Md. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, Md. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Harmony Church of the Brethren, 3921 Brethren Church Road, Myersville.

DEC. 18, 1951-JAN. 31, 2009 HARPERS FERRY, W.Va. - Gerald "Bug" James Pendley Jr., 57, of Harpers Ferry, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va. Born Dec. 18, 1951, in Ranson, W.Va., he was the son of Esther Dillow Pendley of Myersville, Md., and the late Gerald J. Pendley Sr. He was a 1969 graduate of Brunswick (Md.) High School. He was employed as a truck driver with Southland Concrete Co. in Sterling, Va. He was a member of Winchester (Va.)

JAN. 14, 1957-JAN. 13, 2009 MYERSVILLE, Md. - Lavonne Lynn Ford, 51, of Myersville, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1957, in Frederick, she was the daughter of Patsy V. Younkins Ford of Myersville and the late Darrell W. Ford. She was a 1975 graduate of Rock Creek School in Frederick. She was employed by the Dan Dee Restaurant for 23 years. She attended Harmony (Md.) Church of the Brethren. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her uncle, Jimmy Ford, and aunt, Linda, of Pennsylvania.

OCT. 22, 1939-DEC. 12, 2008 MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Pauline E. Wachtel, 69, of Middletown, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Washington County Hospital. Born Oct. 22, 1939, in Harmony, Md., she was the daughter of the late Emory M. and Dorothy V. Gladhill Gilbert. She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren. She is survived by her husband, John F. "Pete" Wachtel; two daughters, Elizabeth A. Smith and Shirley Poplo, both of Myersville, Md.; one son, Ronald E. Wachtel of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

MAY 30, 1941-MAY 29, 2009 MYERSVILLE, Md. - Nancy Louise Graham, 67, of Myersville, died Friday, May 29, 2009, at Frederick (Md.) Memorial Hospital. She was born May 30, 1941, in Harmony, Md., and was the daughter of the late Elmer Hezekiah and Catherine Viola Dutrow Baker. Nancy was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, a graduate of Middletown (Md.) High School and was a school bus driver for many years with Frederick County Public Schools and retired as a bus driver for Francis Scott Key Center, Frederick, after 14 years of service.

A. David Neal, 36, of Boonsboro, Md., and formerly of Frederick, Md., passed away suddenly from this life on Saturday morning, Dec. 1, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident. Born July 30, 1976, he was the son of Martin W. and Sandra L. (Hebb) Neal of Boonsboro. David was a 1995 graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick. He worked for South Mountain Collision and Auto Center in Middletown, Md., for the past three years, and was also a custodian for the Frederick County Public School system in the evenings.

Mrs. Barbara A. Wenner, 61, of Hagerstown, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 2, 2011, at her home. She was the wife for 36 years of the late William J. "Butch" Wenner Jr., who passed away on Jan. 14, 2007. Born on Jan. 23, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Voine Bolinger, and the foster daughter of the late Leroy and Hannah Baker. Mrs. Wenner worked for 15 years at Airpax in Frederick. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and reading. She loved her family, particularly her grandchildren.

JAN. 6, 1947-OCT. 21, 2009 ROHRERSVILLE - David Lee Baker, 62, of Rohrersville, Md., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at home surrounded by his family and friends. Born Jan. 6, 1947, in Harmony, Md., he was the son of the late Elmer Andrew Baker and Alice Marie (Desmond) Baker. He will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 15 years, Phyllis Lee Baker at home. He is survived by three sons, Mark B. Baker of Frederick, Md., Paul F. Houck Jr. and wife, Heather, of Jefferson, Md. and Erick L. Baker of Frederick; two daughters, Dawn M. Baker of Rohrersville, and Patricia L. Shoemaker and husband, James "BJ" W. Shoemaker Jr., of Rohrersville; one brother, Thomas J. Baker and wife, Rosalind "Peachie," of Middletown, Md.; two sisters, Doris "Pete" E. Bidle of Frederick and Joan M. Basil Grossnickle, 93, a resident of Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home, Boonsboro, for the last six years, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at his residence. A son of the late C. Elbert and Sallie E. Leatherman Grossnickle, he was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Ellerton, Md. He was a lifelong member of Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, Myersville. He graduated in 1934 from Middletown High School and farmed throughout his life.
