John W. "Jack" Clemmons, 77, of Orchard Lane, Waynesboro, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital. The service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro, is handling the arrangements.

Paul B. Gunder, 83, a resident of the Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville, Pa., and formerly of 8301 Mentzer Gap Road, Waynesboro, Pa., died Friday, Aug. 5, 2011, at the nursing home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Blue Rock United Brethren Church, Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.  

Arlene L. Miller Newcomer, 92, formerly of 9510 Five Forks Road, Waynesboro, Pa., died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Brunswick Novant Medical Center, Bolivia, N.C. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Earl Guy Martin, 92, of 133 Williamson Ave. in Greencastle, Pa., died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Quincy (Pa.) Village. The family will receive friends Monday one hour before the service at Waynesboro (Pa.) Church of the Brethren. The service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Amy Messler officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Thomas Edward “Buddy” Owens Jr., 83, of Ranson, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, W.Va. The service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, Va.

Edward Clay Shepherd Sr., 86, of Inwood, W.Va., died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at his residence. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel. The service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Revs. Hubert Plummer and Raymond Martin officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, Va.  

Leon T. Yancey Jr., 35, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. to noon at Mount Zion United Methodist Church. The service will be Thursday at noon at the church. The Rev. Ed Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery.

Kathleen M. “Kang” Duffy Rock, 84, of 332 Strickler Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at Quincy (Pa.) Village. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The service will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Family Life Worship Center, Waynesboro, with Pastor Roger D. Cales officiating.  Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

Robert B. Peiffer, 89, a resident of Quincy (Pa.)  Village, and formerly of Mont Alto, Pa., died Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Bryson Room at Quincy Village. A memorial service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bryson Room, with the Rev. Guy R. Baer officiating. Burial will be private in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Ruth A. Horner Haugh, 84, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, Pa., and formerly of 20 Myrtle Ave., Waynesboro, Pa., died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, in the nursing home. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro. The service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
