Kenneth Eugene Ziler, 60, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at his home while under the care of the Hospice of the Panhandle. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., which will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends. The service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastors Steve Dawson and Dick Voorhaar officiating.

Dennis Ray Unger, 65, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and one hour before the service Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Great Cacapon. The funeral home will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.Wednesday for the convenience of family and friends. The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church with Pastor Larry Tomlinson officiating.

Georgina Lee and Earl William Grove Jr. of Great Cacapon, W.Va., announce the birth of a son, Tyler Jacob Grove , Feb. 23, 2011. Maternal grandparents are Vicky and Christopher Conaway of Great Cacapon. Paternal grandparents are Tammy and Donald Kimble of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Maternal great-grandparents are Calvin B. Wineholt of Union Bridge, Md., and Sara and Floyd Conaway of Great Cacapon. Paternal great-grandmother is Joan Williamson of LaValle, Md.

Edward James Pinder, 71, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., and formerly of Catonsville, Md., died Friday, March 4, 2011. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, Great Cacapon. The memorial service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the church, with military honors. Brian Conan Cox, 43, of Laurel, Md., died Thursday, March 3, 2011. A memorial service will be Sunday at noon at Cox Camping, Great Cacapon, W.Va. Arrangements are by Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Ashley A. N. and Eric M. Payne of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., announce the birth of a boy, Craig Dimitri Payne , Jan. 31, 2011. Maternal grandmother is Dawn Wilson of Great Cacapon, W.Va. Paternal grandparents are Barbara Payne of Hagerstown, and the late Craig Payne. Maternal great-grandparents are Kenneth and Sonia Wilson of Berkeley Springs. Paternal great-grandmother is Theabelle Eddy of Hancock.

Justin Gloyd of Berkeley Springs, a patient at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, has been collecting beverage tabs for the hospital for several years. Gloyd has collected tabs from Doris’ Deli in Great Cacapon, W.Va., and Douglas Motors Inc. in Hancock. He recently filled a pickup truck with more than 300 pounds of tabs. The tabs are collected and taken to the Shriners Hospital. Gloyd had major surgery on both legs on July 21, 2009. He started going to the Shriners Hospital when he was 11 years old, which was in 1999.

Richard Arthur Spencer, 63, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at his home. A memorial service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. Burial will be private.

Arthur Uberta Ridgeway, 85, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, while under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice, Winchester, Va. A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, Great Cacapon. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
