Robert Arthur Milburn, 79, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Cumberland (Md.) Memorial Hospital. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. -- A fire destroyed a Great Cacapon house on Thursday afternoon, a firefighter said. The house was in the 5000 block of Central Avenue, Great Cacapon firefighter Matt Grimley said. No one was home at the time of the fire, which was reported by a neighbor, he said. Grimley said a wood stove appeared to have started the fire in a chimney area. There was no estimate of the damage, but the house appeared to be a total loss, he said. Firefighters from Great Cacapon, Berkeley Springs and Paw Paw in West Virginia and Hancock in Maryland responded to the call.

Lucille Virginia Dilts, 88, of Candlewood Lane in Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at her home. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hancock Ward. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mount Nebo Cemetery, Great Cacapon. Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Hancock.

Hazel Nellie Hofe, 87, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at Morgan County War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs. The service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Nebo Cemetery, Great Cacapon.

Arthur Uberta Ridgeway, 85, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, while under the care of Blue Ridge Hospice, Winchester, Va. A memorial service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, Great Cacapon. Burial will be private. Arrangements are by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, Berkeley Springs, W.Va.

Clyde Elizabeth Engle, 80, of Great Cacapon, W.Va., died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at her daughter's home in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
