Review "Apocalypto" is like a ship without a sail. The movie had all that it needed to float, but it never made it out of the harbor. "Apocalypto" takes place in Mexico before Spanish soldiers conquered the indigenous people. The dialogue is in ancient languages with English subtitles. The story is about Mayan civilization, highlighting the role of human sacrifice in religion.
