March 9 - March 15 The Washington County Commission on Aging offers noon lunches to anyone 60 years and older at seven locations - Hancock, Smithsburg, Keedysville, Williamsport and three in Hagerstown. A two-day reservation notice is required and a donation is asked per meal. For information, call 301-790-0275. Weekly menu Wednesday - Spaghetti with meat sauce, garden salad with chickpeas, Texas toast, pears and milk. Thursday - Vegetable soup, turkey sub with lettuce, tomato and onion, pea salad, banana and milk.

Tuesday - chili con carne over rice, pineapple chunks, garden salad, corn muffin and milk. Wednesday - turkey-and-dressing dinner, fruit, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry or sauerkraut, holiday cookie and milk. Thursday - hot dog with fixings, juice bar, seasoned potato wedges, fruit smoothie and milk. Friday - shrimp poppers with cocktail sauce, peaches, potato rounds, broccoli with cheese sauce and milk.

The "Krab and Karaoke Dance Party" will be Saturday, Aug. 29, from 4 to 10 p.m. at Hager Hall Conference and Event Center at 901 Dual Highway in Hagerstown. Tickets cost $45 and include all-you-can-eat food and drink. The menu includes crabs, fried chicken, corn on the cob, garden salad, coleslaw, baked beans, rolls, hush puppies, assorted desserts, tea, water, soda and draft beer. A cash bar will be available. You must be 21 to attend. Proceeds benefit participating nonprofits based on your vote for your favorite agency.
