1. Artists in training A reception for the Greencastle-Antrim High School senior showcase art exhibition will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Allison-Antrim Museum's barn, 365 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, Pa. Each student wrote a theme paper and explored it through art by using various media including paint, ceramics, clay and photography. A Washington, D.C., man has been charged with second-degree murder and related charges following a fatal stabbing of a Hagerstown teenager Friday night, Hagerstown Police said in a news release Saturday morning. Police responded to the stabbing in the first block of West Franklin Street at 10:55 p.m., according to the release. Officers found a 17-year-old male lying on the sidewalk with a stab wound to his chest. The victim was taken to Meritus Medical Center east of Hagerstown, where he died from his injuries, police said.

The Rev. Ed Poling had his concerns when he arrived at Hagerstown's City Park on Friday afternoon and saw fire engines parked near the lake, threatening to interfere with his plans. But by the time the annual Good Friday Walk began, the trucks had cleared and about 100 area Christians accounted for the largest turnout yet at the event that for the first time this year circled City Park's lakes. “Moving” is what Diane Mowen called the two-hour walk that navigated 14 stops to represent the 14 stations of the cross, which symbolize Jesus Christ carrying the cross to his crucifixion.
