Frederick man charged in stabbing, robbery FREDERICK, Md. - An 18-year-old Frederick man was charged Monday in connection with a Sunday night stabbing and robbery in Frederick, according to a Frederick County Sheriff's Office press release. Jared R. Estaquio turned himself in Monday afternoon after deputies exercised a search warrant on his vehicle and recovered items related to the robbery inside, police said. Estaquio faces numerous charges including armed robbery, first-degree assault, first-degree burglary, theft under $500 and reckless endangerment, police said.

FREDERICK, Md. -- A Frederick woman was killed Sunday morning when the 2003 Toyota Sienna she was driving north on Yellow Springs Road went off the road and struck a tree, according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. Christine J. List, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. List's husband, James W. List, 45, was hospitalized with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash, which occurred at about 2:21 a.m., the sheriff's office said in a news release.

MIDDLETOWN, Md. --A Middletown man was killed in a tractor accident Monday in the 8600 block of Hollow Road, according to a press release from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office. David C. Burdette, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene after the tractor flipped on top of him in a marshy area on private property, the release said. Burdette was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. The accident was under investigation Monday.

A 2-year-old girl from Washington Township, Pa., and a 16-year-old Frederick County, Md., girl were both in critical condition Tuesday after separate swimming pool accidents, authorities said. --cont from news -- The Frederick County teenager, Analaurin Gabrielle Neilson, was listed in critical condition Tuesday night at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, according to a hospital spokesman. The toddler, whose name was not released, was found floating in a relative's pool in the 13000 block of Pennersville Road in Washington Township, Pa., at about 1:44 p.m., according to officials at the Blue Ridge Mountain Ambulance and Rescue Squad.

FREDERICK, Md. - A Walkersville, Md., man was charged with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing a teen under his left eye during a fight at the suspect's home early Saturday, according to a Frederick County Sheriff's Office press release. Lawrence L. Geisler Jr., 51, still was waiting to see a bond commissioner Saturday night, according to officials at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. Geisler also was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, deputies said.

FREDERICK, Md. - A grand jury on Friday indicted a deputy with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office on two counts of perjury, one count of counterfeiting and one count of theft over $500, charges that stem from an off-duty land sale that happened in January 2002, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office. George Michael Savage, 57, has been suspended without pay. He has been employed by the Sheriff's Office since May 11, 2000, and is a deputy first class, according to the release.
