Air Force Airman Chad A. Kearney, son of Kevin and Michelle Kearney of Clear Spring, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Kearney is a 2008 graduate of Clear Spring High School. Air Force Airman Steven E. Baynard, son of Steve and Olive Baynard of Hancock, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Baynard is a 2002 graduate of Hancock Middle-Senior High School. Army Reserve Pvt. Michael D. Stahl, son of Douglas Stahl of Hagerstown, graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

Kimberly J. Verbanick, daughter of John J. and Chom S. Verbanick of Greencastle, Pa., has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program after graduating with a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. She will be assigned as an intelligence officer. She is a 1994 graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School, Greencastle. Jason R. Staggs, son of Robert E.
