A Fayetteville woman remained hospitalized Monday morning at York (Pa.) Hospital following a Saturday night traffic accident. Dominique N. Snair, 24, was listed in serious condition Monday morning, a hospital spokesman said. She was flown to York Hospital to be treated for injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle accident at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on Rocky Mountain Road in Guilford Township, Pa., according to a news release from Pennsylvania State Police. Troopers said Snair was driving a Subaru Forester on Rocky Mountain Road when she lost control of the vehicle and it struck a tree.

A Fayetteville, Pa., man remained hospitalized in critical condition Monday morning at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pa., following a Friday accident on Interstate 81 Friday, according to a Pennsylvania State Police news release. Ryan Michael Benshoff, 18, of Fayetteville, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord south on I-81 near Chambersburg at around 1 p.m. Friday when the car hit the driver's side passenger door of a 2006 Nissan Murano that also was heading south, state police said.

Mary R. McNeill, 74 DEC. 7, 2008 FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Mary R. McNeill, 74, of 220 Central Ave., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Paul McNeill; four children, Michael McDaniel, Shelia McDuffie and Karen Malloy, all of Fayetteville and Steven McDaniel of Hagerstown; 10 siblings; 14 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one aunt. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ, Disciple of Christ in Fayetteville.

OCT. 2, 1927-JULY 28, 2007 FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Charles A. Peterson, 79, of 1082 Coldspring Road, died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at the Village of Laurel Run. Born Oct. 2, 1927 in Fayetteville, he was the son of the late Harry D. and Florence E. Cook Peterson. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in 1983 after 32 years of service. He was a member of Cold Springs United Brethren Church in Fayetteville. He is survived by his wife, Peggy B. Mouer Peterson, whom he married April 1, 1950; and two daughters, Paula K. Peterson and Genevieve J. Peterson, both of Fayetteville.

A Greene Township, Pa., man has been charged with sexually abusing children over a three-year period, Pennsylvania State Police said. Jason Shawn Carey, 32, of Fayetteville, was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and other sexual offenses, troopers said. Carey is charged with having sexual contact with three preteen children, troopers said. The abuse happened between 2011 and this year at an address in the Fayetteville area, troopers said. Carey was in Franklin County Jail on Friday on $100,000 bond, a jail official said.

A Fayetteville resident was taken to the hospital and a family pet is believed to have died Saturday after a fire destroyed a two-story home, displacing its four residents, according to fire officials.  The Fayetteville Fire Department responded Saturday at 1:58 p.m. to the fire at 8202 Lincoln Way East. One person was taken to Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital for smoke inhalation. Captain Brady Bumbaugh, commanding officer at the scene, said winds between 10 and 15 mph increased the fire, which crews initially attempted to fight from inside the house.

After nearly two years of trying to find her missing son who was allegedly kidnapped by his father while on a vacation in Eqypt, Kalliopi “Kalli” Atteya took matters into her own hands. The Fayetteville, Pa., woman executed a daring rescue of her son, Khalil Mohamed “Niko” Atteya, at the school in Egypt where his father was taking him, according to Kalliopi Atteya's sister Olga Panagos-Kriska. For several months, she disguised herself in a hijab, a headscarf worn by Muslim women in Egypt, Panagos-Kriska said.
