Hagerstown Colt League/South High baseball will hold a bonanza Friday at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $40 per couple, which includes two meals. A cash prize of $1,500 will be available.

The Washington County Sports Hall of Fame held its 23rd annual induction ceremonies Saturday at Elks Lodge No. 378 on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown. Members of the 2009 class were, from left, Gwynn (Gordon) Rodemsky, Rick Knepper, Mike Spinnler and Chris Fox. Seventeen Washington County high school graduates were presented awards or scholarships and numerous civic leaders also were honored at the banquet.

A Bags (Thirty-One) and bucks bingo will be held Sunday, April 21, at the Elks Lodge in Hagerstown. There will be 10 bag prizes and 20 cash prizes. The event will include raffles, tip jars, King Tuts and a 50-50 drawing. Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Lunch is included in the price of the ticket. Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and bingo starts at 1 p.m. Baked goods and sodas will be available to purchase. Participants must be 18 to play.

St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Big Pool will hold a hamburger steak dinner Saturday beginning at 5 p.m.  The menu includes hamburger steak, stuffing, mashed potatoes, applesauce, vegetable, beverage, roll and dessert. A cake auction will be held, as well. The cost is by donation.   The community is invited. Class of 1988 planning reunion The Clear Spring High School Class of 1988 will hold its 25th class reunion Saturday, Oct. 26, from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Elks Lodge in Hagerstown.
