Six pairs competed Friday night, Aug. 17, during a meeting of the Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club in Hagerstown. Alan Brown and Frank Carden finished first in the A stratum with a 67 percent game. Elaine Rowe and Neil Carstensen were second in A with 59 percent. The Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Fridays at the American Legion on Northern Avenue. All bridge players are welcome. On Friday, Aug. 24, the club will participate in a Unit 168-wide Sectional Tournament at Clubs.

Twenty-six pairs competed Wednesday, Feb. 20, in a Junior Fund Game during a meeting of the Hagerstown Duplicate Bridge Club.  The overall winners are: Lois Taylor and Bob Freed, who finished first in the A stratum with a 63.78-percent game. Scott Kiser and Rich Evans came in second in Flight A, and Bruce McDonough and Melva Urban were third in Flight A and first in Flight B. Willa Garner and Barbara placed fourth in Flight A and Dick Taylor and Ron Clawson tied with Dennis Wick and Bob Back for fifth place in Flight A.  Bob Knuff and Myrna Kinman finished second in Flight B and first in Flight C, and Stephany East and Bill Griever were third in Flight B and second in Flight C. Bea Van Norden and Mary Archer placed fourth in Flight B and third in Flight C, and Charles and Bunny Welch were fifth in Flight B and fourth in Flight C. In the East/West direction, Ann Lebherz and Rob Robey placed fourth in Flight A, and Anne Carden and Sym Gallucci finished in fifth place.
