The popular horror flick didn't earn a nomination for the upcoming 77th annual Academy Awards - but it would have if local teenagers comprised the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Teens interviewed recently at Washington County Technical High School gave their Oscar nods for films aired in 2004 to titles ranging from "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" to "Meet the Fockers. " "I'm a movie-aholic.

Clear Spring High School's Future Business Leaders of America will sponsor a dodgeball tournament Saturday, starting at 6 p.m.  Clear Spring students can make up a team of six players to compete. The cost is $5 with the winning team getting double its money back. Bingo bonanza Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Co.'s bingo/mini bonanza will be Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Special Events Building. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the bonanza games start at 6 p.m. The “Dual Dab” game will be at 5:45 p.m. (not included in pack)

Grace Academy will host the Washington County Dodgeball Tournament Saturday, May 23, starting at 10 a.m. at the school at 13321 Cearfoss Pike in Hagerstown. The team entry costs $450 for a maximum 10-person team. Each team must be comprised of at least two women. You must be 18 or older to participate. Businesses organizations and churches are encouraged to enter a team. The top two teams will win prizes and trophies. Participants will receive a T-shirt. Register online by Friday at www.graceacademyonline.

Grace Academy plans dodgeball tournament Grace Academy will host the Washington County Dodgeball Tournament Saturday, May 23, starting at 10 a.m. at the school at 13321 Cearfoss Pike in Hagerstown. The team entry costs $450 for a maximum 10-person team or $45 per player. Each team must be comprised of at least two women. You must be 18 or older to participate. Businesses, organizations and churches are encouraged to enter a team. The top two teams will win prizes and trophies.
