St. John's Episcopal Church, The Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. services. The parish choir will provide music at the later service. Christian education classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum on What Did St. Paul Mean? Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown, W.Va., the Rev. Rudolph Bropleh will be speaking at the 11 a.m. service this Sunday on Celebrating Cultural Diversity, sponsored by the Shepherdstown Ministerial Association.

St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Stephanie Yancy will preach at the 8 a.m. communion service this Sunday. At the 10:15 a.m. service, a Festival of Advent Lessons and Carols will be presented by the parish and youth choirs. Communion will also be celebrated. Sunday school classes for all ages begin at 9 a.m. including an adult forum led by Yancy. St. Mark's Lutheran Church, this Sunday there will be chapel communion at 8:15 a.m., Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and the Sunday school Christmas program at 10:30 a.m. The sermon is Emmanuel, God With Us. There will be communion for shut-ins at 2 p.m. Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Pastor Philip Fogarty will preach at the 8 and 11 a.m. services this Sunday on the topic, The Unexpected One. Pastor Torben Aarsand will be celebrant.
