Police in Martinburg arrested 11 people Wednesday as a result of multiple drug investigations that targeted people who traffic narcotics, the Martinsburg Police Department announced. Police said in a news release Wednesday afternoon that the following people were arrested; Danny Lamony Redman, 34, no fixed address, was charged with two counts of delivery of crack cocaine. Douglas William White, 22, of 700 W. Burke St., Apt. 35, Martinsburg, was charged with delivery of marijuana.

Fulton Co. man charged with simple assault McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - A McConnellsburg, Pa., man has been charged with assaulting a woman Tuesday at a home in Ayr Township, Pennsylvania State Police said. Justin Allen Garlock, 22, was charged with simple assault, according to a state police news release. Troopers alleged that Garlock struck a 29-year-old woman when an argument turned physical at a house at 1489 Cito Road in McConnellsburg.

Martinsburg police officers executed search warrants at four properties Thursday and obtained warrants charging six people with drug-related offenses, according to a news release from Martinsburg Police Detective Cpl. S.F. Doyle. Police searched Apt. 27 of Franklin Manor Apartments at 700 W. Burke St., 201 Cloud St., 615 N. Queen St. and 208 N. Church St., police said. Police found marijuana and paraphernalia at the Burke Street residence, and Ian Jordan Lightner, 25, was charged with delivery of marijuana, police said. Krista Anne Kyker, 36, was charged with delivery of Suboxone after police found the medication at the Cloud Street residence, police said.

Five people, including four from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, were sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg by Judge Gina M. Groh, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld II. • Vonzell Wade Carey , 33, of Kearneysville, W.Va., was sentenced to 15 years and six months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. Carey entered a guilty plea May 3 to distribution of crack cocaine in connection with an incident in Martinsburg. • William Ronald Monroe , 32, of Washington, D.C., was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison followed by six years of supervised release.

Martinsburg police arrested a man early Friday morning after a foot chase and seized about 29 grams of crack cocaine from him, according to the Martinsburg Police Department. Derrick S. Spencer, aka Fat Head, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, Martinsburg police Detective J.D. Luciano said in a news release. Spencer, 34, was detained in the area of Carroll and Vicky Bullett streets just after midnight, the release said. The arrest was the culmination of drug investigations Thursday night by the Eastern Panhandle Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and Martinsburg police, the release said.

A federal judge on Friday sentenced a Martinsburg, W.Va., man to serve 10 years in prison for his conviction on two counts of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine. Lawrence Robert Hicks, 42, will spend three years on supervised probation following his release from prison, according to a news release from Maryland U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein. A Maryland State Police traffic stop of Hicks in Frederick County on Sept. 20, 2011, resulted in 10 grams of cocaine being found in his vehicle, the release said.

Three people were charged with drug possession after police conducted two separate narcotics raids Friday in Martinsburg, W.Va., Martinsburg police said. Chiquita Evette Robinson, 30, of 222 1/2 Vicky Bullet St. in Martinsburg was charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, according to a Martinsburg Police Department news release. Justin Wallace Kackley, 24, of 700 N. High St. in Martinsburg was charged with possession of Oxycodone. Cody Allen Stewart, 21, of P.O. Box 1066 in Falling Waters, W.Va., was charged with possession with intent to deliver Oxycodone.

A Hagerstown man was charged with possession of crack cocaine after he was pulled over during a traffic stop Wednesday night in Frederick, Md., the Frederick Police Department said. Eddie Paul Jouvert, 43, of 50 Summit Ave., also was charged with possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, according to a police news release. Officers said a K-9 unit detected the drugs after Jouvert was pulled over at 9:37 p.m. in the area of Key Parkway and Bel Air Lane.

A jury took five minutes in March to find Edgar Sayles guilty of distribution of cocaine, a conviction that resulted in a 40-year mandatory sentence Friday in Washington County Circuit Court. Judge M. Kenneth Long Jr. sentenced Sayles, 41, to 40 years without parole, an enhanced mandatory sentence due to his previous drug-crime convictions. The former Hagerstown resident had been charged by the Washington County Narcotics Task Force with selling crack cocaine to a confidential informant in April and May 2011, according to charging documents.
