The Rohrersville Ruritan will hold an oyster, ham and turkey dinner Saturday from 1:30 to 5 p.m. at the Ruritan community building on Rohrersville Schoolhouse Road. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. The building is handicapped accessible. Carry-out will be available, but bring containers. Also, remember to mark your calendars for this year's strawberry festival to be held June 9 and 10. Yard sale and craft vendor spaces are available. Antique, farm, car or any type of displays are also being registered.

U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett, R-Md., will hold a town hall meeting Monday in Williamsport as part of a "Listening Tour. " It will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Community Building at Byron Memorial Park. Bartlett's office said the meeting is open to all of his constituents. Bartlett is seeking a 10th two-year term in Congress. He has four opponents in the Sept. 14 GOP primary. Two Democrats, one Libertarian and one Constitution Party candidate also are running.

Ordinance would make two roads part of town WILLIAMSPORT - The Williamsport Town Council introduced an ordinance Monday that would make Otho Holland Drive and Coneflower Drive town roads, Mayor James G. McCleaf II said. The roads are part of a Washington County senior housing development, McCleaf said. The council will vote on the ordinance at a future meeting, McCleaf said. Town joining geocache trail program WILLIAMSPORT - Williamsport will be joining the Maryland Municipal League's Geocache trail program, Mayor James G. McCleaf II said.

Softball registration Many Boonsboro residents participate in the Washington County Girls' Softball League. Registration for third grade through eighth grade will take place at Dick's Sporting Goods in the Centre at Hagerstown (the Wal-Mart shopping center) on the following dates: Saturday, Feb. 14 and 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sign-ups will also be at Extra-Innings on Wednesdays, Feb. 18 and 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Registration costs $40 due at sign-up.
