Scientific solution for weight loss The Washington County Health Department is offering new fall classes for EBT - Emotional Brain Training - A Scientific Solution for Stress Reduction and Weight Loss. This program is designed to help individuals struggling with weight issues and focuses on the root of the obesity problem: stress. Individuals who learn how to retrain their brain to ease stress and have more joy in their life find it easier to make lifestyle changes that last.

The University of Maryland and Delaware Cooperative Extension will conduct Annie's Project from January until March at nine sites. Annie's Project focuses on the many aspects of farm management and is designed to empower women in overall farm decision making and to build local networks throughout the state. The target audience is farmwomen interested in agriculture and involvement in the farm operation. Topics for the sessions cover the five areas of risk management - production, marketing, financial, legal risk and human resources.
