BOYS BASKETBALL Russell Frederick scored a game-high 22 points and the University of Maryland-bound Braxton Dupree had 14 to lead Calvert Hall to a 57-48 victory over St. Maria Goretti on Sunday. Calvert Hall (11-3) led 36-32 at halftime and 45-44 entering the fourth quarter. Andrew Chambers had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists for Goretti (6-10), while Kevin Breslin had 10 points, Gene Johnson scored nine and Kevin Brashears had seven points and four assists.

BOYS BASKETBALL BRUNSWICK, Md. - Craig Wachter hit the game-winning 3-pointer with less than 20 seconds remaining as Brunswick stunned No. 4 Middletown, 71-68 in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League on Tuesday night. Matt Feldman scored 18 of his team-high 31 points from beyond the 3-point line, and the Railroaders (11-7, 8-7) sank 9 of 16 from beyond the arc. Middletown (13-4, 10-2) grabbed the lead in the third quarter and watched it disappear as Brunswick stayed red hot offensively.
