GIRLS BASKETBALL CRESAPTOWN, Md. - Heidi Stamper led Heritage Academy with 13 points and 15 rebounds as the Eagles defeated Calvary Christian 45-29 in the Mason Dixon Christian Conference on Friday. Brittany Eberly scored 13 points and Heather Stamper added 15 rebounds and six assists for Heritage (14-5, 7-2). LANHAM, Md. - Grace Academy's volleyball team won the Maryland Christian State Tournament at Washington Bible College last Saturday. The Knights (18-5) defeated Mason Dixon Christian Conference rival Calvary Christian 25-15, 25-20, 25-10 in the championship. Earlier, Grace defeated Washington Christian 25-14, 27-25, Greater Grace Christian 25-22, 25-13 and Antioch Christian, 25-12, 25-19. Rebecca Morgan was selected Tournament MVP for her efforts, as she finished with 33 kills, 26 assists and 16 digs.

Boys Basketball Sidwell Friends 71, St. James 56 WASHINGTON -- Five St. James players fouled out of the game and Sidwell Friends outscored the Saints 27-10 in the third period to win their Mid Atlantic Conference matchup Sunday. BOYS BASKETBALL CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Chambersburg battled back from a nine-point deficit in the final two minutes but fell a basket short Friday night in a 61-59 Mid-Penn loss to Central Dauphin East. The Trojans (1-3, 0-2) used 3-pointers by Jeff Banks and Chas Ruhauser to begin the comeback. Levar Hage followed with a score off a steal to move Chambersburg to within two points with 3.8 seconds remaining. CD East was able to inbound the ball and run out the clock for the win. Terrance Williams led CD East with 23 points while Andrew Dructor added 16. Hage had 15 for the Trojans while Banks added 12 points and seven rebounds.
